Set amidst the Skeena Mountain Range of Terrace BC, this CME will allow family and emergency physicians to receive first-hand educational updates from some of Canada’s leading emergency physicians. The overall objective is to provide the target audience with the opportunity to interact with colleagues and allow for direct one-on-one learning from consultant emergency medicine physicians. The curriculum offered is designed to suit the educational needs of physicians whose practice include part or full-time emergency medicine.

However, we are confident that this educational program will also appeal to any primary-care physicians looking to enhance their emergency medicine skill sets.

Curriculum has been developed to provide a therapeutic update in emergency medicine. This update will include updates in pediatric emergency medicine, emergency department bedside ultrasound, challenges of suburban emergency medicine as well as trauma surgery.  In addition this update will include curriculum delivery from a collection of top Orthopedic surgeons. The topics were chosen to reflect a course content that is case-based, up-to-date and interactive.

Learning needs were assessed by a combination of previous participant feedback, speaker expertise and a general awareness of issues that hold a current interest in the emergency community.

The conference venue is the Yellow Cedar Lodge- home to a relaxed meeting facility, gourmet meals, quality accommodations and Northern Escape Heli-Skiing.
